ARRA Booksigning, Coogee

The first ever romance author group book-signing event was held in conjunction with the inaugural Australian Romance Readers Convention, held in Melbourne in February 2009. There were 25 authors signing at that event. More than 250 readers attended.

In August 2010, in conjunction with the annual Romance Writers of Australia national conference, we are doing it again. The book-signing will be held in the Terrace View Rooms, at the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, Sydney on Friday 13 August from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm. And this time it will be even bigger — so far we have 37 authors signed up to attend:

AJ Macpherson
Alexis Fleming
Anna Campbell
Anna Cleary
Anne Gracie
Barbara Hannay
Bronwyn Jameson
Bronwyn Parry
Cathleen Ross
Cathryn Brunet
Christine Stinson
Christine Wells
Debra Dixon
Denise Rossetti
Elizabeth Rolls
Erica Hayes
Fiona McArthur
Fiona Palmer
Helene Young
Isolde Martyn
Jess Dee
Kandy Shepherd
Kelly Hunter
Keri Arthur
Lexxie Couper
Luke Devenish
Maggie Nash
Melanie Milburne
Michelle Douglas
Nalini Singh
Nikki Logan
Paula Roe
Rachel Bailey
Tracey O’Hara
Trish Morey
Valerie Parv
Vicki Lewis Thompson

The event will be open to everyone. Entry is free for ARRA members and delegates at the RWA conference. There will be a small entry fee for members of the general public.

Bookings are not essential, but they are encouraged. All those who book for the event will also have the opportunity to order a copy of the souvenir booklet, which will include photos and information about all the attending authors.

You can book right up to the event (but book early to secure a copy of the souvenir booklet). Booking information will be available on our website (http://www.australianromancereaders.com.au/events.html) in June, or contact us at arra.specialevents@gmail.com.

There will be romance books available for sale at the event, and you are welcome to bring your own books to be signed.

  1. WooHoo!
Sounds exciting and I can’t wait to see all my favorite authors signing their books,
And I promise this time to try to not get so overwhelmed I have another heart attack,
Although all these talented authors together in one room…Woopee!

  5. What a great line up, I’m sad now I won’t be there, but you all have a great time. Mel, you could always have book cards to sign.
