A reminder from the organisers of the Gloucester Writers’ Festival that Annette Barlow from Allen & Unwin is particularly keen to find emerging writers. Some talented RWA members are presenting at the festival. A pitching session will take place on Sunday 1st May. Any members wanting to participate need to complete the ‘How to Pitch session’ on Saturday ($20 p.p.) Irina Dunn will be conducting that session. This will give hopeful aspirants the best chance when presenting their manuscript to the publisher, Annette Barlow.

Anna Jacobs

Anna’s e-book sales at Amazon UK had between 1 and 5 in the top 100 historical romances all week. Top sellers continue to be MARRYING MISS MARTHA, a regency novel set in the late 1820s and MISTRESS OF MARYMOOR, a Georgian novel set in 1759. Her favourite and first ever modern novel CHANGE OF SEASON has also hit the top 100 women’s fiction list at Amazon UK this week. Anna’s next modern novel MOVING ON is being published next week by Severn House.

Janet Woods

Janet has picked up a couple of audio sales. LADY LIGHTFINGERS will be published by ISIS Soundings soon.  Janet has also signed a contract with IAMBIK in Canada licensing them to bring out the book  DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS in downloadable audio and CD version.

Kerri Williams

Last week we reported that Kerri had been offered a contract for her latest novel NUDGING CUPID . Kerri  signed the contract this week and her novel is due for  release on 7th Oct 2011.

Maree Anderson

Maree has a shiny new cover to boast about and is very excited. KAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF is extra special to her because it is part of a Red Sage ‘Secrets’ anthology DESIRES UNLEASHED and will be her first ever print book. Maree says she considers herself very lucky to be in the anthology with three amazing authors, Anne Kane, Alice Gaines and Nicole North.

Rebecca’s paranormal entry THE DEVIL OF WHITECHAPEL has finaled in the Sheila contest.

Vonnie Hughes

Vonnie has sold another Regency to Aurora, the Regency arm of Aspen Mountain Press. It’s due for release in November/December. Vonnie reports ‘a startling ride – 48 hours from whoa to go’.
