Today I’m delighted to introduce, award winning romance author- Liz Fielding.
I write: short romance for Harlequin Mills and Boon.
I’m from: Wales (not the New South one, but the bit that sticks out on the west side of the United Kingdom!)
Three words to describe me: wife, grandmother, writer
At home I cook: vegetable soup, chicken curry, lemon drizzle cake
My worst habit: is leaving the top off the toothpaste. (And I squeeze from the middle.)
It’s a bit daggy but I love: hot buttered crumpets.
My first job was: clerk/typist
My day job is: writer
I procrastinate by: spending time on twitter and facebook. If it gets really bad, I have been known to tackle the ironing.
Three things people might not know about me are: I’ve worked in Africa; I once played Childie McNaught in a production of Killing Sister George; my first car was a Fiat 500
Favourite author: I don’t just have one. It’s all about mood. Barbara Samuels for lusciousness, Anna Campbell for historicals, Janet Evanovitch for laughs (to name a few)
Current reading: arc of Busted in Bollywood by Nicola Marsh
Favourite book as a child: What Katy Did Next
Favourite movie: like the authors, it’s a mood thing, but I could watch Mama Mia a dozen times, and Ghost, Love Actually and Casablanca.
I would most like to meet: Hugh Jackman 🙂
When I was young I wanted to be: an actress. I should be Maggie Smith!
Why I write: My head has always been full of characters having adventures.
Latest project: Liz Fielding’s Little Book of Writing Romance
