Emerald Second Round

It’s busy contest time here at RWA!

The latest results we have to share are those clever writers who have made it to the second round in the Emerald and our brand-spanking new Emerald Pro contests.  Both of these are for complete manuscripts, but as a first step, the entrants submit a partial manuscript.  If their partial makes it past the eagle eyes of our judges, they then have five days to submit the full manuscript, which are in turn whittled down to a list of finalists.  All of these people below have made it over the first hurdle, so we need to congratulate them and wish them all the best for the next round!  And here they are:

Emerald:
Josephine Allen
JP Combe
Frances Dall’Alba
Lexi Greene
Georgia Henry
Jo Kelsey
Dianna Lennox
Kerrie Paterson
Sue Price
Joanne Robertson (x2)
Annabelle Rose
Lisa Stanbridge
PJ Vye
Emerald Pro:
Heidi Catherine
Morgan Cole
Tess LeSue
Well done to everyone who entered, and thanks as always to the contest manager, Marnie MacLean, and all our judges.

Little Gem Cover Contest

The Little Gems Management Team is delighted to announce Frank Honsa as the winner of our 2012 Little Gems Diamond Cover Contest. As usual we had a difficult decision to make with some super designs entered.

Rebekah Turner was runner-up with a very pretty cover but we eventually chose Frank’s for the boldness and the way the diamond is featured so well. A strikingly different design for the most precious of gems.

Check it out when it appears on the Blog. It should be up very soon.

New Valerie Parv Award Entry Form – URGENT NOTIFICATION‏

To All VPA Entrants,

There has been a slight problem with the VPA entry form. Details regarding
entry fees were not quite correct. The contest page was correct but the
entry form did not include GST details.

That is now fixed and the new entry form should soon be available on the RWA
website.

The version you need to use has details about GST in the Entry Fee section
of Page 1 and also in the accompanying description. Please use this version
of the form.

Thank you for your understanding and I hope this has not caused you too much
of a problem.

Please note: the Entry form file is quite large as it contains instructions
on filling out the entry form and formatting your entry, so it can take a
few minutes to download from the site. Just be patient, it eventually
happens.

Thank you,

Pam Collings – VPA Coordinator
