New Contracts

  • S E Gilchrist is thrilled to finally announce her second contract with Escape Publishing. This short story, THE PORTAL, is scheduled for release on 1st March 2013 and is set in the same world as LEGEND BEYOND THE STARS.

New Releases

After trudging in the footsteps of the Fomorian army, Aileen longs to have a home of her own far from the horrors of war. She will do anything to achieve her goal. Even lie to the kin and people of her newly deceased husband. But lies are nothing, compared with drugging a pixie king and stealing his memory … and his seed.

To fulfil his father’s dying wish, border laird Jamie Graham must marry and sire a legitimate heir. But his marriage will be one of convenience, for he has vowed never to open his heart to betrayal. While guarding his cattle from thieves, Jamie catches the spirited daughter of a neighbouring laird stealing his horse.  Despite viewing an arranged marriage as a death sentence,  feisty Kenzie Irvine has no choice but to wed the domineering Jamie. But she has sworn an oath never to bring a child into an uncaring world. And Kenzie also has a dark secret she has no intention of giving away –  even if she finds herself her on the wrong side of the law…

The final book in the world wars trilogy, TALL POPPIES/SECRET AND LIES has just been released in hardcover.

Meggie Elliot is trying to forge a career for herself in London, a city on the brink of WW2. The crush she has on her solicitor comes to nothing. Meggie joins the WRNS in a burst of patriotism and goes to work in a decoding unit. There she meets the mysterious and dangerously exhilarating young aristocrat Nicholas Cowan, who is her boss. A series of coincidences points to Nick as being the burglar who robbed the home of her beloved aunt, something Nick doesn’t deny. They fall in love with the thunderous roar of planes flying overhead and bombs exploding around them.

This is the third book in her Roman/Druid romance series, BETRAYED, will be released by Ellora’s Cave in their Xanadu line on 20th March 2013.

In 51 A.D., Druid priestess Nimue is injured and enslaved by the hated Roman Legions. Even though she is drawn to her captor, she’s determined to escape and complete her mission for the Briton king and her duty to Arianrhod, the goddess she is bound to.

The tough Roman warrior who captures her is far from the brutal barbarian she expects. His touch inflames her desires and passion burns between them. Though Nimue does not accept her enslavement, her heart surrenders to her enemy. When Arianrhod appears to her in the form of an owl, Nimue knows the union is blessed.

Roman warrior Tacitus is enchanted by the fiery beauty who shows no fear and challenges him at every turn. Though enslaving her goes against his heart, he’s determined to make her his. No woman has ever heated his blood as she does. But when he discovers her true nature as one who actually communes with the gods, his loyalties are torn between his heritage and a woman who could destroy everything he’s ever believed in.

New Cover

  • UNDER THE HOOD by Juanita Kees (Escape Publishing, March 2013)Under_the_Hood

When Scott Devin buys a struggling car dealership in a semi-rural area in Western Australia, the last person he expects to see in charge is a stilletto-wearing, mini-skirted foreperson. Exactly the distraction a struggling, male-dominated workshop doesn’t need! But there’s more to TJ Stevens than meets the eye.

TJ Stevens has two major goals in life: to preserve her grandfather’s heritage and protect the program – and she’ll go to any lengths to do it. Scott Devin’s presence is a threat to everything she’s worked hard to achieve, so keeping him at arms length shouldn’t be a problem…or could it?

Savannah Harris is determined to raise her three-month-old daughter in the best possible environment, and flees home to Grace Creek, an inheritance from her recently deceased mother.  But even this peaceful property cannot cocoon her from her abusive husband or a stranger who intends to rip her life apart.  In an atmosphere thick with fear, Savannah realises she cannot keep running, she must fight back or risk losing not only her life, but the only family she has left, her precious daughter.

May 8Eyes of a Stranger by Suzanne Brandyn (Eternal Press)

How can you deny the truth when it looks you in the eyes?

When Tegan Ryan fears her secure world is about to be shattered, her nervous system takes her on a ride of a lifetime. Not only had she babbled office gossip to a stranger, she is hiding with her six-year-old son from her abusive husband.

Embarrassment floors her when she meets the new boss, sexy suited Mathew King. He is the stranger. Now she has to work for a man who chokes up all her breathing space, until she gives in to desire, just once.

Tegan always thought her son Robert had the bluest eyes ever, but Mathew presents a serious rival. As the past hurtles toward the present Tegan tries to overcome inevitable doubts and fears, but will she risk everything for the sake of true love?

Enrico’s quote of the week

I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.

Blog Bites with Suzanne Brandyn

I’d like to welcome Australian Author, Suzanne Brandyn who has written in multiple genres in her career so far. As her tag line says, ‘Australian stories where hearts collide in romance, and suspense. Stories as diverse and unique as the land we live in.’

I write: Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense

I’m from: Everywhere. Where would you like me to start? Lol.

Three words to describe me: Honest. Caring. Committed.

At home I cook:  Stir fry’s.

My worst habit is: Telling people to straighten their backs.

It’s a bit daggy but I love: Green Tree Frogs.

My first job was: Working at David Jones at Charlestown Square, in Newcastle.

My day job is:  Writing, and a super domestic goddess. Lol

Saving for: I don’t save, I just spend. 🙂 Yah!

I procrastinate by: I’m not good enough.

Three things people might not know about me are:  I use to round up sheep on a horse, on a Cattle, Sheep, and Wheat property. I danced as a cage dancer at Ziggy’s Star Dust in Newcastle. 🙂  I used to ride a surf board and never wanted to get out of the ocean.

Favourite author: Nora Roberts.

Current reading:  Scared Yet, by Jaye Ford

Favourite book as a child: The Enchanted Forest by Enid Blyton.

Favourite movie: I have many favourites but if I have to pick one, it would have to be Sweet Home Alabama.

Plotter or panster: Semi Plotter. I have an outline of such. 🙂

I would most like to meet: I always wanted to meet Elvis Presley. Unfortunately, it came and went. Sad, very sad.

When I was young, I wanted to be: A Trapeze girl in a Circus.

Why I write: To deliver all the stories in my head. To enable  women to escape from the everyday mundane of life, where  in the end, there is that Happy Ever After.

Latest project: The release of my Romantic Suspense, Forgotten Memories, with Eternal Press.  I am currently working on a Suspense/Thriller with romantic elements.

Thank you Suzanne for joining us today and if you would like to find out more about Suzanne and her books go to her website http://suzannebrandyn.com/

Suzanne has also kindly offered a pdf copy of Forgotten Memories to a lucky person who leaves a comment. The name will be drawn out by 8:30pm EDST Sat 24th.  Good Luck!
